P-12 Educator Diversity Conference

November 28,  2018  8am to 2pm

The Bowles Center for Diversity Outreach, Inc. will host the Annual Diversity Education Conference on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Steven Beshear Education Center, which is located at 2000 College Drive in Madisonville, Kentucky.  We are expecting a significant number of P-16 educators, graduate and undergraduate education majors and community leaders to attend the conference. The conference will begin with breakfast 8:00 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. The first conference breakout session will begin at 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. The second breakout sessions will begin at 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.  The conference luncheon will begin at 12:00 p.m. and conclude at 1:45 p.m. EILA Credit is provided. We are asking school districts register educators to attend the conference.  Educators have been invited to present are from Kentucky State University, Murray State University, Vanderbilt University, Tennessee State University, University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, Western Kentucky University, the Kentucky Department of Education and Eastern Kentucky University.  

The conference will offer an excellent opportunity for educational, cultural, social, leadership development and training to all of those in attendance.  Highlights of the conference include state and regionally recognized education speakers, and members of the Kentucky Department of Education, and Kentucky Council on Post-Secondary Education, School administrators & superintendents from across Kentucky and college & university education faculty from Indiana, Kentucky & Tennessee.

In addition, you will not want to miss the Diversity Educator Awareness Luncheon on Thursday and the Public Meeting on Closing the Achievement Gap.
