School Resource Officer Diversity
CONFERENCE
July 19, 2017 8am to 4pm
The Bowles Center for Diversity Outreach, Inc. will host the annual School Resource Officer Diversity Education Conference in Covington, Kentucky. The conference purpose is to enhance the relationship and community outreach among School Resource Officers diverse students and parents. The conference will be held at the Radisson Riverview Hotel, which is located at 668 West Fifth Street in Covington, Kentucky. The conference will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. The conference will begin at 8:00 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. with a conference breakfast and opening session. Conference Education Sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. and from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. The conference luncheon will begin at 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. We are expecting a significant number of Law Enforcement Personnel to attend the conference. Presentations will be presented by Regional Colleges and University and Government Agency Diversity Outreach Specialists.
We are asking that interested participants register school resource officers to attend the conference. The conferences will serve as a support event for Law Enforcement Agencies to be further trained how to enhance relationships and community with the diverse communities they serve. The conference will include an opening session and breakfast, event luncheon and four breakout sessions (two in the morning and two in the afternoon). The conference will offer School Resource Officers an excellent opportunity for educational, cultural, social leadership development, as well as networking and training to all of those in attendance. Highlights of the conference include state and regionally recognized presenters from across the country.
